Martin to race GT2 in the classic Le Mans Series 1000km of Silverstone

Hurrah!  Yes, I finally get the chance to race in GT2 against the really good guys in the Le Mans Series at Silverstone in a little over a week’s time.  I’ll be joining the James Watt Automotive team in their Porsche 997 RSR for a crack against some of the best GT pairings in the world.  (Not to mention keeping out of the way of the prototype cars…!)  I’ll be joining owner-driver Paul Daniels (no, not that one) and pro Markus Palttala, both of whom have plenty of LMS experience.  Whilst we’ll be realistic about our podium chances, we’ll hope to be on the pace and over 6hrs who knows what can happen…

The 6hr race is on Sunday 13^th September starting at 11.35am.  (Check out www.lemans-series.com for full details).  Tickets are £25 on the door or £20 in advance via the website, so please come along and support me if you can!  (And if you can’t make it, there is some coverage on Eurosport).
