The first two rounds of the GT3 championship at Silverstone and Bucharest in the Ascari were fraught with mechanical difficulties, but we bounced back at the fabulous Monza to stand on that great podium. (At the time it was not too many months after the great Michael Schumacher had stood right there and announced his retirement!!) For the fourth round at Brno we changed cars and drove a Reiter Lamborghini to our best pair of results for the season. We opted not to compete in the final round at Dubai.

The most exciting new challenge, however, was to experience my first twenty-four hour races. And I loved it! The Spa 24hrs is a fantastic event with all the glitz and glamour that you would expect of a world-class racing event. And whilst the Britcar 24hrs at Silverstone was perhaps not quite so glitzy (despite the presence of Jeremy Clarkson et al), it brought the reward of a top-class podium. My season rounded off with the 6hrs of Vallelunga where I partnered Philipp Peter in a GT3 Porsche to another podium – a great way to finish the year.  Enjoy!
